Inspiration from Anywhere...Sparklers
Sparklers are like fireworks in your hand. The opportunity to hold something so simultaneously wonderous and precarious is always such a unique experience, that I'm so glad to see they've come out of hiding after the Fourth of July and into weddings, too! Will you be celebrating with these real-life glowsticks this weekend?

Tuesday Shoesday... Fourth of July
I'm with Abby over in the Superburbs, the count down is on until the Fourth of July. This is the first Fourth of July that I will be off in 5 years and I couldn't be more thrilled. It is absolutely one of the best holidays and a real excuse to celebrate summer. We are packing up our bags and heading to the Cape. Growing up we used to go every summer with my family but I haven't been in years so it is going to be a real treat. I am looking forward to long runs near the water, short naps in the sun, lots of magazine reading, and some down time to just be. So in honor of the Fourth of July, my love of summer and vacationing on the Cape I thought these shoes were the perfect accessory to include in my bag.

Inspiration from Anywhere...Prep School
Preppy style and summer go together like lemonade and cookies: they were made for each other, and their union makes the season sweeter! A cardigan-draped bride, seersucker details, lawn games, and gorgeous monogram details all come together in a perfectly preppy June wedding that's hard to resist.

Friday Wine Tasting... St. Germain and Champagne!
This weekend we are setting up camp in Rhode Island at the Ocean House for two very special couples' weekend of events. We are also helping to coordinate and design a 40th birthday bash on the shoreline. It is going to be a full weekend of events and we couldn't be more thrilled to be involved with so many incredible vendors, all of the details, logistics, and planning leading up to one really big weekend. Of all of the things I can control onsite for the execution of the event I am always asked if I can guarantee sunshine, and while I can't control the weather, this weekend I am positive the sun will be shining all around them.
Drink of the Week:
This is the perfect cocktail for a Summer Wedding or Birthday Soiree!Cheers! And Happy Friday!

Inspiration from Anywhere...Married at the Lakehouse
Let's set the scene for today's board, shall we? Family and friends gather at the bride's family's lakehouse - her favorite place from childhood - to watch her wed her sweetheart on a sweet summer day. Rustic, New England-inspired decor like sailor knots, wooden signs, and old maps cover every surface. The couple shares their first kiss as newlyweds on a canoe-lined dock. Blissful, don't you think?

Wedding Wednesday...Jennifer and Dominic at Saltwater Farm Vineyard
Jennifer and Dominic's elegant wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard last month is a perfect example of why Connecticut weddings are so uniquely lovely. The details were kept refined and purposeful, without sacrificing statement-making elements such as their towering tulip centerpieces and a knockout bridal party dressed in royal blue. Simple, understated beauty.

Friday Wine Tasting... Buzzworthy Red
Wine of the Week...
Happy Friday! Everyone is buzzing about this super Tuscan blend so I had to pick up a bottle to see what the hype was about. I haven't blogged much lately about great reds since the temps have been so ridiculously hot here in the Northeast but this wine is fabulous! It is definitely a steal priced under $20, which is always my favorite find! This is a must try for the weekend. Cheers!
Tasting Notes: Superbly rich ruby-red in color. This blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet and Merlot is very complex on the nose, with crisp fruit fragrances melding beautifully with earthy notes. The palate exhibits a solid structure with impressive depth, and great length and finish that will keep you licking your lips to re-live this wonderful taste experience. -Wine Expert, Stew Leonard's

Inspiration from Anywhere...Cherries
A basket full of plump, red cherries represents summer at its finest, don't you think? They make me feel like throwing on my favorite white dress, jumping outside, and digging my toes in the grass! Summery hues of red may just be my favorite for their variety and how they pop in the sunlight, and they'd make darling summer wedding decor, no?

Wedding Wednesday... Meghan and Ben a Sneak Peek!
On Saturday I had the opportunity to work with one of the most amazing couples, Meghan and Ben! Childhood friends since second grade, turned into sweethearts, bound together by years of memories, solid friendships, incredible stories and a love that filled the room at Tamarack Country Club, it was a night that guests are still talking about. The amazing Anna Sawin and (Nicki Pardo) were on site to capture all of the details and I was so excited this morning to wake up to a sneak peek of images!! Can't wait to share with you the rest.

Tuesday Shoesday...Still in love with Wedges!
This past weekend was full of events for us and it couldn't have been better weather here in CT! While onsite for Meghan and Ben's wedding I realized even more my love of wedges. So as the season continues to roll into full swing and I continue to be on my feet for 12 hours at a time, and refuse to be frumpy in flats, I am always on the hunt for a gorgeous wedge and these are wow!!! Perfection! Grey and yellow together, doesn't get much better than that! They are also perfect for all of those outdoor weddings you are in as a bridesmaid, or attending as a guest.

Coffee Talk Monday... New Website Getting Closer
Well it seems like forever ago that we first started talking about the launch of our new site and we are super excited to announce that we are really close. The team at (a)squared studio has been absolutely amazing to work with and super patient as we carefully designed a site that I am so proud of! We can't wait to share with you the finished product, which we are hoping will be in the first week of July. Until then here is a sneak peak of the home page! I am just so excited!!

Friday Wine Tasting... I heart cucumber and mint
The other night I was having dinner at Whitfield's in Guilford, which happened to be their Taco Night and I had the most incredible Margarita (Cucumber/Blueberry, sounds like an interesting combination but it was amazing) which prompted me to get creative tonight for our happy hour on the deck. I must admit I am turning into quite the mixologist these days, I love fresh ingredients in cocktails and since we are growing some of my favorites on our deck this summer it makes it easy to experiment. This is a recipe you have to try!
Ingredients (Cucumber/Mint Syrup)
Handful of Mint Leaves
1/2 Cucumber Juice
4 shots St. Germain
1/4 lime juice
Muddle the mint in a mortar and pestle, Juice 1/2 of a cucumber through a juicer, and then combine together with 4 shots of St. Germain. Then add two shots of tthis mixture with 2 shots of patron, a cup full of ice, juice of a 1/4 of a lime and top it off with club soda for the perfect "sarahrita"
This weekend we have two amazing weddings going on and couldn't be more thrilled for Meghan and Ben and Laura and Kevin. The weather is looking amazing!! Cheers to you both, and Happy Friday Everyone!!!

Inspiration from Anywhere: Driftwood
Happy June, friends! Summer is on the way and beachy weddings are zipping through my head faster than I can say "sunshine." I love when natural elements are used for wedding decor in beach weddings, and driftwood is one of my absolute favorites. Each piece is completely unique from the last and there are so many different ways to style it. Whether it's impossibly fashioned into an altar, scattered down a table runner, or lit up with candles, the effect is always so stunning!

Wedding Wednesday: Samantha & Artur's Saltwater Farm Vineyard Wedding
On top of the fact that all of the gorgeousness was sprinkled with True Event's very favorite color, we loved Samantha and Artur's September wedding for its darling whimsical touches and fresh feel. It couldn't have been a lovelier, sunnier day at Saltwater Farm Vineyard, but all of the smiles and stunning details were what really lit up the day.
