Wine of the Week...
Belle Pente 2008 Williamette Valley Pinot Noir
Rated #1 for 2008 Oregon Pinot Noir by NY times
$23
This is a gem!! A huge thanks to sister and her boyfriend for discovering this incredible Pinot Noir from Oregon, and bringing us a bottle over Easter. I kept hearing great things about the 2008 crop from Oregon for Pinot Noir and this is proof that it was a fabulous year!
The NY Times also agreed in rating it number one when tasting between 20 bottles. I am loving Pinot Noir as we transition from winter to summer! Let me know if you have tried any other fabulous Pinots recently. Always looking for new wines to taste and feature. Cheers!

Inspiration from Anywhere: The Royal Wedding
There happens to be a little wedding going on across the pond tomorrow morning, and it just wouldn't be right if we didn't do SOMETHING for the sweet couple. So today's Inspiration from Anywhere is based on what I think the lovely couple would do if they didn't have to follow ALL of the rules. I think they would still stay pretty formal, with nods to their beautiful country, traditions, etc. but perhaps with a bit more style. English garden wedding meets fun, modern couple. What do you think?

Wedding Wednesday: Hillary & Jeff's Stonington Wedding
all images from Adeline and Grace Photography |
From Sarah: Hillary and Jeff got married in Stonington, CT on one of the most gorgeous days of the season. It was the way I knew it would be for such a lovely bride, inside and out. I told Hillary that I wished I was from Kentucky after meeting her because of her elegance, southern charm, and delightful personality. We blended Kentucky details and Southern Charm with Modern Elegance to create a truly design worthy affair. And had one spectacular group of vendors that came together to make it a day guests will always remember. Congratulations Hillary and Jeff!

Tuesday Shoesday
Today's Tuesday Shoesday has a little story behind it (really what doesn't with me?). Mr. C and I went to the movies over the weekend. Two things about this - 1. We never ever go to the movies 2. We went to see Water for Elephants. I still can't believe Mr. C was game for this. Anywho...although I love love love Reese, I was a bit sceptical going in about the whole R Patz thing (that's what the kids call him apparently). Well, wouldn't you know, by the end of the movie I was in a full Twilight trance (this is something I probably shouldn't admit). I would like to blame said trance on Reese's amazing apparel throughout the movie. I mean, seriously - minus the whole depression and prohibition thing, I think I would have really enjoyed myself style wise in that era. She also rocked bangles the entire movie - from casual to formal - from riding horses to elephants, the bangles were there. So when I saw these shoes, I couldn't help but think how perfect they would be for her character.
What do you think? Would you wear these? I personally think if you happen to be honeymooning in Greece in the near future they are a must have. Best part? They are $39.99. True story.

Friday Wine Tasting... Easter Weekend Prosecco
Wine of the Week
Zardetto Prosecco
$13.99
Tonight we are tasting bubbly for Easter Weekend. My sister in law is hosting Easter Brunch and asked us to bring the bubbly so I picked up a bottle at Stew Leonard's based on their recommendation and Robert Parker's who says this wine is 88 points. Perfect for the holiday weekend!
Wishing everyone a Happy Friday and a wonderful Easter! Cheers to spring and warmer days.
What the experts are saying: "This delicious Prosecco (primarily Prosecco with about 5% Chardonnay included) is a light, frothy, fresh, lively sparkling white with a touch of creamy sweetness. With excellent fruit, freshness, and purity, it is ideal for drinking over the next year." - Wine Advocate

Inspiration from Anywhere: Confetti
Lately I have been loving loads of color in events. It's probably my subconscious craving summer, but I am going to run with it. I started thinking the other day how fun it would be to plan a party based on the idea of confetti. With every color under the sun - pinks, yellows, reds, blues, oranges - just think of all the fun things you could and your guests could do! Of course, the clean up wouldn't be as fun - but the party would be pretty fabulous. What do you think? xoxo, Abby

Wedding Wednesday: Gillian & Nate Boston Harbor Hotel Wedding
We may be on the brink of Spring (or at least that is what the calendar says), but this amazing ski themed wedding actually makes me want to see some of the white stuff again. Gillian was one of Sarah's adorable bride's last year and we thought we would feature her GORGEOUS wedding today in honor of her finishing her very first marathon - and the Boston marathon no less. Congratulations on a fabulous accomplishment (and a beautiful wedding!) You can see even more on Style Me Pretty!

Tuesday Shoesday
Do you love...or do you LOVE? Because I am most certainly in the all caps category. These lavish Lavins spotted at Barneys are enough to make anyone's heart go pitter patter. They make me feel fancy just looking at them. I would love to see these on someone for a night on the town or even a bit more dressed down. I just think these puppies can do no wrong. Agree?

Coffe Talk Monday.... Exhale and Love
Last week while I was visiting Boston I was invited to take a core fusion class with one of our brides (miss Emily) at Exhale. I am thinking of moving to Boston just so I can become a member, it was one of the most amazing classes I have taken. A combination of ballet bar, pilates and yoga, it is transforming in so many ways. I am still sore actually with muscles I didn't know I had a week later. All of you Boston and NYC brides I am so envious as there are locations in both of your cities. I only wish I could get one to open on the shoreline of CT.
Not only was the class the perfect way to start my week but they have a great gift shop as you walk in with super cute work out clothes, interesting jewelry, spa products and Love bottles. I just had to share these beauties with you all as they are so fun! and make the perfect shower or wedding favor, and would be so fantastic in a welcome bag. I am already thinking about how I want to customize an order for True Event. Loving the Love bottle!!!
About Love Bottles
What is a Love bottle?
Love bottle is a reusable glass water bottle made partially from recycled glass. It has a ceramic swing top lid that creates a water-tight seal.
Can I customize my Love Bottle?
YES! Customize your love bottle and express yourself! The design allows you to write and draw on the printed areas of the bottle. This is a place for you to express what you want more of in your life, or what makes you feel good. Because if you feel good when you look at your bottle, you will feel great drinking from it!
How else can I customize my bottle?
Place silicon bands around the bottle to add color and words, and to improve grip. Add stickers to personalize your bottles. You can choose stickers with a preprinted design or blank stickers that you can design yourself! Bands and stickers are available on this site, or you can use your own. Start with a blank bottle, or a bottle with a printed design. There are countless ways to customize your bottle. You are only limited by your imagination!
Custom Sticker Label (LOVE this!)
- No minimum order: use a blank or pre-existing love bottle design template (500 mL and 1000 mL)

- 24 or more bottles = 15% off

Friday Wine Tasting... Pink Prosecco
Wine of the Week...
Riondo Pink Prosecco Raboso
$13.99 (Country Roads in Marlborough)
This weekend we are thinking of everything girly and everything pink as Abby and I get ready for a weekend full of events I couldn't help but talk about one of my favorite pink proseccos. This is the perfect party wine! Happy Friday Everyone! Can't wait to share all of the details from this weekends events. Cheers!
What Other people are saying: Transparent and very pretty pale rosy pink, frizzante but not fully sparkling; frothy bubbles quickly fall back in the glass. Delicate red berries and fresh herbs on the nose; crisp, prickly and fresh on the palate, subtle fruit shaped by good acidity. There may be a distant hint of fresh-fruit sweetness, but with the tart acidity and a pleasant, very slight bitter note in the finish, it comes across as dry. - via winelovers page

Inspiration from Anywhere: Sugar & Spice
Sarah and I are both busy little bees planning parties for princesses (and a princess that is coming in May!) - both are parties are taking place on Saturday. Sarah will be entertaining the belles of the ball at a Ballerina inspired party and I will be showering a dear friend in the burbs with a tea party themed affair. Either way, sugar and spice and everything nice - that's where our inspiration is made from right now! Can't wait to share the final results - until then, here is some girly inspiration to tide you over. Happy Thursday!

Wedding Wednesday: Vanessa & Campbell
We mentioned this pretty wedding back in February after it got a fabulous nod and feature from the Knot Magazine, so we thought we would share some more of the lovely photographs from Karen Cunningham to put a little spring in your step on this rainy Wedding Wednesday. So looking forward to summer weddings! Enjoy!

Tuesday Shoesday
Don't you love the fact that in just a few short weeks we will all be ready break out the sandals on a daily basis (and not freeze your tootsies while doing so). I feel like we have been saying that since March, but work with me here - it really is almost here. Promise. So on my daily search for Summer (do you do that too?) I found some Tory Burch shoes with Sarah and my names written all over them. Love when big designers think of us when coming out with their collections ;)

Friday Wine Tasting... Ballou's Wine Bar
This week Erica Tannen, the mastermind behind the E-List hosted another girl's night out in Guilford, and hundreds of ladies turned out for an incredible night of great food, wine, lots of laughs and shopping. It was the first time I had the chance to visit Ballou's Wine Bar, which really has something special going on. There are over 90 wines by the glass, an incredible bar bite menu, with spiced almonds, delicious cheeses and jam, and a lobster menu that made my mouth water. In addition to the extensive wine menu they also have a new addition to the restaurant which is just in time for all of the hot summer days that lie ahead. A frozen drink machine that offers a wine cosmopolitan and the most incredible sparkling bellini.
For all of you wine lovers this is a fun place to try, and during the week they have some great specials. You can enjoy a wine flight for just $10 every Monday & Wednesday. Which is my favorite way to sample new wines. Happy Friday! Cheers!

Inspiration from Anywhere: NYC
If you follow the blog, you know we were in NYC a few weekend's ago to help Alana and Justin get the dream day they deserved. Well, we just saw a few sneak peaks from Ashley Therese Photograpy and to say the least - we can't wait to share. So to hold us all over, here is a little board I pulled together moments before leaving the burbs to head to the big city. I was just so excited, I had to put the clean, modern, chic inspiration all in one place. And let's just say it was one heck of an event.

Wedding Wednesday: Sondra & Ben
I just LOVED Sondra and Ben. Their wedding and ceremony was so them. SO them. Theirday was full of fabulous little details, but the best detail of all was that heir personality and love for each other was front and center the entire time. Such a fabulous couple, and these are just a few of the many images from the amazingly talented duo at The Image is Found.

Tuesday Shoesday
I don't know about you, but I am aching for my summer shoe wardrobe. And this gorgeous shot found on Style Me Pretty makes my heart ache even more. Someone please reassure me that the sun will come out in the next month or so. How lovely would these be for a beach wedding? Or perhaps rehearsal dinner? Or honeymoon shoe? I am in love.
