Jennifer and Dominic's elegant wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard last month is a perfect example of why Connecticut weddings are so uniquely lovely.  The details were kept refined and purposeful, without sacrificing statement-making elements such as their towering tulip centerpieces and a knockout bridal party dressed in royal blue.  Simple, understated beauty.

On top of the fact that all of the gorgeousness was sprinkled with True Event's very favorite color, we loved Samantha and Artur's September wedding for its darling whimsical touches and fresh feel.  It couldn't have been a lovelier, sunnier day at Saltwater Farm Vineyard, but all of the smiles and stunning details were what really lit up the day.

Today kicks off our first wedding of the year at Saltwater Farm Vineyard in Stonington, the perfect backdrop for a spring wedding or place to visit this season.  On Sundays throughout May you can find an incredible line up of musicians playing in the tasting room.  Be sure to check out their calendar of events to see what they have going on throughout the summer.  One thing I have been so anxious to try is their yoga in the vines on Tuesday mornings, can't think of a better way to begin the day.  Cheers to Dom and Jen as they get ready to say "I do" on this gorgeous May day.

Caroline and Alexi's Invitations by Paper Moss

We are firm believers that invitations set the tone for any event, and the paper accessories provide the perfect opportunity to tell your story as a couple through the details, which is why we love working with the lovely ladies of Paper Moss. They definitely didn't disappoint with Caroline & Alexi's invitation suite, and we are so excited to share them with you!

From Emily of Paper Moss...We love a lot of color combos at Paper Moss, but navy, aqua and yellow has become one of our favorites this year! With a great color combination to start with, there is nothing we love more at Paper Moss than adding special personal touches to the invites, and this suite was full of them! One of our favorites was the airplane - a hand drawn icon that included their wedding date & initials on the side of the plane that represented the famous airport hanger reception site, Saltwater Farm Vineyard. We were thrilled to have worked with Caroline & Alexi and wish them all the best!

Mood/Details: Caroline and Alexi are a couple that reminded me on a daily basis why I am so lucky I get to do what I do. Without ever meeting Caroline after a short phone conversation she booked me on the spot, and we immediately became great friends. It makes me smile when I think how lucky I am to work with such incredible people on the biggest day of their lives, and this is a couple/family that will always hold a special place in my heart and a wedding I will always remember. Caroline described their vision as Whimsical, FUN, and a new term we coined "Hippie Preppy" a blending of details, tons of fun, bright colors, and a party that was filled with love.

The Venue an old airport hanger was a source of inspiration for the details we wove through the paper (stay tuned for a separate post on the incredible designs for the invitation, escort cards etc. that Paper Moss worked with us to create)

Karyn and Paul's Saltwater Farm Vineyard Wedding

This past year was truly an awe inspiring season! We are so honored to have been a part of so many special moments with our clients, leading up to their wedding days. It was a year filled with laughs, gorgeous inspiration, and tons of details. Mood & Details: Karyn described her vision as Romantic, casual elegance, vintage, whimsical, and fun with modern accents (which we were able to bring in through in the use of textured fabrics, lace and the clear lucite chairs) We had such a great time in designing her wedding and weaving all of the little details throughout the reception. They really set the tone for the event as guests walked into the winery.
